Questions
The things people ask before they call.
Answered as directly as we can. If yours isn't here, ask us. We'd rather have the conversation than have you guess.
The custom business platform
What is the platform, exactly?
It's our own custom, all-in-one business system, and we set the whole thing up for you. One login covers your CRM and pipeline, your site and funnels, forms, calendars, two-way SMS and email, social and messaging channels, reviews, invoicing, an AI chatbot, call tracking and the reporting over all of it. We configure it around how your business actually runs rather than handing you an empty account.
Do I own the site and the data, or am I renting it?
The domain stays in your name, your contacts and content are yours, and you get administrator access to everything we set up. The platform itself runs on software we license, which we spell out in the proposal so you know exactly what transfers if you leave and what doesn't.
How long does setup take?
Three to six weeks for most businesses, from kickoff to live, covering site and funnels, pipelines, calendars, the follow-up automations and the reporting. The variable is almost never us; it's how quickly we get photos, service details and sign-off. We'll tell you exactly what we need on day one so nothing waits on a guess.
Will the AI chatbot sound like a robot?
It reads like a competent front-desk person, and it says up front that it's an assistant, because we don't think pretending otherwise ends well. It's trained on your services, your pricing and your common questions, it qualifies leads and books straight into your calendar, and anything it can't handle gets escalated to a human immediately. You get a transcript of every conversation.
What happens to the automations if we stop working together?
You keep your data, your contact list and your content, and we'll document every sequence so another provider can rebuild it. Some of what we deploy runs on platforms we license, which we'll be clear about in the proposal so you know exactly what transfers and what doesn't.
Consulting, financial management & travel
Are you accountants?
We do bookkeeping, management accounts and year-end preparation, and we work alongside your existing accountant where you have one. Placeholder: state your firm's actual professional qualifications and registrations here. This matters legally and clients will ask.
Can I hire you for one pillar without the others?
Yes, and plenty do. All four stand alone. Most people arrive asking about the platform because marketing is the visible problem. We'll say when we think you're fixing the wrong thing first: a pricing review matters more than a new funnel if you're already busy and still not making money.
Will you tell us things we don't want to hear?
Regularly, and early. The most common finding in a financial engagement is that a service people are proud of loses money. It's an uncomfortable conversation and it's usually the one worth paying for.
Is travel planning really part of this?
It is, and it's the one people are surprised by. We do full-service booking for business trips, flights, hotels and cars, itineraries, group travel and company events, incentive and rewards trips, travel budgets and travel policy, plus the same white-glove planning personally for owners and staff. It's the same principle as the rest: one partner who already knows your business rather than another vendor to brief.
How much of our time will this take?
Less than you'd expect: roughly a half-day a week from whoever's sponsoring the work, plus access to your systems and a few conversations with the people doing the job. We do the gathering. We just need candour.
Fees & fit
How do you price?
Fixed fee for project work, agreed before we start and invoiced in stages. Flat monthly for ongoing work like the platform, bookkeeping and ongoing advisory. No hourly billing, and if the scope changes we re-agree it in writing before doing anything.
Placeholder: add your starting prices here if you'd like to be public about them. It filters out the wrong enquiries before they reach you.
Is it cheaper to take more than one service?
Yes, and it works better. When the same team runs the platform, gives the advice, keeps the books and books the travel, nobody can blame anyone else for the numbers. Clients on the full engagement pay less than the sum of the parts.
Am I locked into a long contract?
Monthly work runs on a 30-day notice period after an initial three months, long enough for the work to show results and short enough that we have to keep earning it. Projects finish when they finish.
What sort of businesses do you work with?
Mostly owner-run companies between about five and a hundred people: trades and home services, professional services, clinics and local operators with more than one location. What matters more than size is that the person we're talking to can make the decision.
Would you ever turn work down?
Regularly. Usually because what's wanted is more marketing when the real problem is pricing, or because someone wants validation for a decision already made. In both cases we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
Where are you based, and do you work remotely?
We run remotely. There's no walk-in office, and we'd rather put the money into the work than into a lobby. Most of what we do runs perfectly well that way, and we travel for the parts that don't: kickoff, working sessions, and walking the floor when we're mapping operations.
